Support for Childcare Providers in Tarrant County

Childcare providers play an essential role in supporting working families and shaping the early experiences of young children. Fort Worth Families United works with independently owned childcare programs across Tarrant County that are committed to providing safe, high-quality care.

Through this program, eligible childcare providers may receive financial support that helps strengthen their programs while expanding access to care for families who need assistance.

If your program is interested in participating, the information below will walk you through the requirements and what to expect next.

Provider Eligibility

Fort Worth Families United partners with childcare providers who are committed to maintaining strong, reliable programs for the families they serve. These requirements help ensure families receiving childcare scholarships are connected to trusted programs in their community. To be considered, providers must meet the following requirements:

  • Independently owned childcare program (not part of a franchise)

  • Licensed Texas childcare facility

  • Texas Rising Star (TRS) certified with a rating of 2 to 4 stars

  • Located in Tarrant County

  • No high-level licensing deficiencies

Documents to Bring to Your Intake Meeting

If your program moves forward in the process, you will be asked to bring the following documents to your provider intake meeting. Having these documents ready helps the review process move forward efficiently. Required documents include:

  • Signed Provider Participation Agreement

  • Copy of your Child Care License

  • Most recent Licensing Inspection or Audit

  • Proof of Texas Rising Star (TRS) Certification

  • W-9 form, if required for payment

  • Banking or payment information, if applicable

What to Expect

After you submit the provider contact form, a member of the Fort Worth Families United team will review your information and reach out within 1 to 2 business days.

If your program appears to meet the initial requirements, we will schedule a Provider Intake Meeting. During this meeting, we will review program guidelines and your documentation to determine whether your program qualifies to participate.

Approved providers may be added to the Fort Worth Families United Approved Provider List, allowing families receiving childcare scholarships to enroll in your program.
